At The Family YMCA of Southeast Mississippi, we’re more than a gym—we’re a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening our community through Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility.

We believe that when we invest in our youth, our health, and our neighbors, we build a stronger community for all.

Since 1913, The Family YMCA of Southeast Mississippi has been committed to creating lasting personal and social change throughout Forrest, Lamar, and Perry Counties.
Guided by our Board of Directors and dedicated staff, we continue to evolve to meet the changing needs of our communities while remaining true to our mission of serving all people with compassion, integrity, and purpose.

Youth Development
Nurturing the Potential of Every Child
At the Y, children and teens have opportunities to discover who they are and what they can achieve. Through childcare, camps, sports, swim lessons, leadership opportunities, and wellness programs, we help young people build confidence, develop character, and learn lifelong values.
Healthy Living
Building Healthier Individuals and Families
Healthy living is about more than exercise—it’s about creating balance in spirit, mind, and body.
From fitness centers and group exercise classes to aquatics, personal training, and wellness programs, the Y provides opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to live healthier, happier lives.
Social Responsibility
Strengthening Our Community Together
As a nonprofit organization, the YMCA is able to serve our community because of the generosity of our volunteers, donors, partners, and members.
Together, we provide financial assistance, youth scholarships, outreach programs, and opportunities for individuals and families to connect, serve, and make a lasting difference in the lives of others.
